The registered candidates for President Renato Usatyi and Tudor Deliu and the nominated candidates Maia Sandu, Octavian Țîcu and Dorin Chirtoacă addressed a common letter to the international community by which they express their concern about the attempts to rig the elections made by Igor Dodon and the Party of Socialists, IPN reports.

“By this letter, we draw the international community’s attention to serious processes of vitiating the electoral process. This way, in the monitoring process there were identified a number of serious systemic violations, such as massive falsification of the pre-registration applications for establishing polling places in the Russian Federation. Persons who admitted that they didn’t sign any application were included in the pre-registration applications. This shows the signatures of these persons were falsified. Also, the pre-registration applications include persons who said that they do not intend to go to the Russian Federation to vote there,” says the letter.

The signatories also said that the risk of witnessing again organized transportation and massive buying of votes of Moldovans from the Transnistrian region, which were seen at the previous parliamentary and presidential elections, persists. “The CEC’s attempt to ban political parties from financially supporting own candidates in the election campaign runs counter to the legislation, facilitates hiding of real costs by candidates and also favors Igor Dodon to the detriment of the other candidates,” reads the letter.
