A local official in Dereneu village, Călărași district, has been arrested on suspicion of killing a man who worked on his fishpond.
The suspect called the police himself to report that he found the victim’s body in his house. The 62-year-old had been working for the suspect for about two years.
At the scene, investigators spotted flecks of brown color on the wall, which had been either scraped or covered with a correction pen. They also found blood-stained clothes belonging to the suspect.
According to the police, the suspect, 62, gave contradictory accounts when questioned.
