Political commentator Vlad Țurcanu said the Republic of Moldova, through its political class, showed that it is not able to find a government solution and thus seeks again help from foreign emissaries. However, the stake is a coalition between the Party of Socialists and the Democratic Party. The issue was developed in a program on the public TV channel Moldova 1, IPN reports.

“All the three powers (e.n. the EU, the U.S. and Russia) that delegated their representatives pursue goals in the Republic of Moldova, but only through different methods. The Russian Federation will definitely try to profit from the weaknesses we show so as to impose itself given that it didn’t achieve much in Ukraine and achieved nothing in Romania and the Republic of Moldova remains an island on which there is place for geopolitical struggles,” stated the commentator, adding the stake is a coalition between the PSRM and the PDM.

Political commentator Corneliu Ciurea said this coalition formation game could continue after June 9 if President Igor Dodon refuses to dissolve Parliament and looks for solutions for forming an alliance. The Constitution does not oblige the President to dissolve Parliament.

According to him, the three envoys who represent the great powers with which Moldova has relations were sent to talk, but the situation will be similar to that of 2005, when the influence of a great power led to the election of Vladimir Voronin as President.

Editorialist Nicolae Negru noted the Democratic Party could have been more active and could have formulated proposals for forming a coalition for the left and for the right too. “It seems to me that the PDM indulged in this situation, stayed in the shadow and allowed those from the PSRM and the Bloc ACUM to act,” he stated, noting the PDM was helped by the Socialists and by ACUM to be in this situation as both of the entities declared they will not form a coalition with the Democrats.
