A Moldovan bus taking 53 persons from Chisinau to Italy overturned on the DN7 road between Orastie and Deva in Romania last night. Sources give different numbers of persons injured in the accident, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the Government’s press service, 21 persons hurt in the accident were admitted to hospitals in Deva and Hunedoara. Vlad Filat instructed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration to take all the necessary measures and supply the injured persons with everything they need. The Premier also requested the Ministry of Health, Social Protection and Family to become involved and make sure that the victims are provided with additional medical services if need be, while the Ministry of Transport and Road Infrastructure – to take the 53 persons where they need. Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, chief agent of the Hunedoara Police Inspectorate Adrian Sauca said the accident happened through the Moldovan driver’s fault. It was established that the driver did not keep the required distance from a vehicle going in front, which stopped. In order to avoid a collision, the driver turned swiftly to the left and the bus overturned outside the roadway. Adrian Sauca also said that a woman aged 45, another one aged 52 and a 70-year-old man were rushed to the hospital in Deva. The other persons suffered minor injures.
