A bus running on the Odessa-Chisinau road was involved in a traffic accident on the Odessa-Reni highway not far from the Moldovan-Ukrainian border. The driver was hospitalized, IPN reports.
The border police of the East Regional Division, in concert with Ukrainian counterparts and Moldovan rescuers, offered first aid to the passengers.
“The passengers were taken from the place of the accident to the Republic of Moldova. The bus driver had to be admitted to the hospital,” said the Border Police Service.
An investigation is underway. Images of the place of the accident show the bus was struck frontally as the windscreen was sent away.
