The public associations could receive financial support from the state budget for implementing projects in the public health sector. The draft regulations for financing such projects are published on the portal particip.gov.md for public consultations, IPN reports.
Currently, such projects are financed exclusively with foreign funds. The provision of budget support will increase some people’s access to public health services, said the authors of the draft regulations.
If the regulations are approved, the projects will be selected by a contest held by the Ministry of Health. In the announcement about the call for proposals, there will be exhibited the selection criteria and the criteria for the documents that will be presented.
The financial support for the projects will be provided within the resources earmarked in the budget of the Ministry of Health. The financing will be disbursed in tranches, based on the documents about the activities performed within the projects. The last tranche of 20% will be allocated when the project is completed.
