The „Buciumul” Creation Association will be further called the National Creation Center „Satul Moldovenesc - Buciumul” (“Moldovan Village”), after the Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) approved on Thursday, July 20, the statute of this municipal enterprise.
At the same time, CMC reelected Tudor Tataru as Center’s manager general and prime-director, for an unlimited term, even if the municipal councilor of the People’s Christian Democratic Party (PPCD), Alexandru Corduneanu, proposed that Tataru holds this position temporary for 6 months, and meanwhile to organize a contest for this position, proposal supported by other councilors, due to “Tataru’s lack of managerial skills”. Coucilor Corduneanu also proposed to change the title of this structure from „National Center” into „Municipal Center”.
Tudor Tataru informed the councilors that he has found already the persons to be appointed as economic manager and chief accountant. He said that he does not oppose the idea to transfer the Center into the Ministry of Culture’s subordination, proposal also supported by municipal councilor Valeriu Musuc. CMC rejected this initiative.
During the long lasting debates over the „Buciumul” Studio, the interim mayor Vasile Ursu stated that „Tataru was good for 10 years, since political interests appeared regarding „Buciumul”. He proposed the councilors to create a commission for monitoring the activity of „Buciumul”, but “not to kick off” the artistic groups.
Eventually, the factions of Communists, Christian Democrats and four councilors of the Alliance “Moldova Noastra” voted for the statute of the municipal enterprise.
