British Charity Organization provided humanitarian assistance to Jewish Community of Moldova

Several social organizations of Moldova will benefit of humanitarian assistance – such as computers and clothes, offered by the British Charity organization World Jewish Relief (WJR). Among these associations are: „Detinutii lagarelor fasciste” (Former Prisoners of Nazi Camps), „Acasa”, „Speranta”, „New Home”, „NES”, „HESED-Jecuda”, the Rehabilitation Center for Disabled Children „Speranta”, the Public Association „Sf. Pantelimon”, and the Association of Armed Forces Veterans, etc.
The event took place on 18 July, at the Israelite Cultural Center KEDEM.
The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland to RM was present at the event and stated that such events are one of the multiple ways for Great Britain of helping Moldova.
During the same event, the sustainable cooperation program „Humanitarian Assistance to Jewish Community from WJR” was presented, project organized in cooperation with the Joint subsidiary in Moldova, the Jewish community and the British organization.
Among the sponsors of the action were as well the American-Israelite Committee „Joint” in Moldova. Over the past years of cooperation, the representatives of this organization brought to Moldova 13 containers, or about 70 tones of humanitarian assistance.
