Brazilian halfback from Sheriff Henrique Luvannor is no longer a foreigner in the National Division. The 23-year-old footballer received Moldovan nationality and will be soon able to play for the national team managed by Ion Caras, IPN reports.

“He obtained Moldovan passport. But, as you know, he needs to get the permission of the FIFA for playing for the national team. It lasts for a month and a half or two,” said Ion Caras.

In the evening of October 7, Luvannor played his first match as a Moldovan and was the hero of the encounter between FC Tiraspol and Sheriff that ended by 0-3. He scored two goals and became thus the top scorer of the championship with 10 goals. Luvannor is married to a Moldovan woman and has a child with her.

Sheriff is the National Division leader after 11 stages played. It is six points ahead of Dacia and Veris. Sheriff plays the next match of the championship against Zimbru in Chisinau on October 19.
