Visitors at the Border Police headquarters had the opportunity to check their travel documents, to analyze their fingerprints, to become acquainted with the equipment of the border guards and enter their offices. This was possible at the "Open Doors Day", an event organized on August 17 in the context of "Diaspora Days".

Rosian Vasiloi, the head of the Border Police, said that such events have become a tradition. "I also opened the doors for my colleagues from the Border Police General Inspectorate to come here with the children, for our former colleagues who, for some reasons, are now in the diaspora, but also for other citizens who want to come and see what the Border Police is actually dealing with.” Rosian Vasiloi said.

The head of the Border Police says that visitors have the opportunity to see the human face of the Border Police. This is not the first time that the Border Police is organizing such events, in which all citizens can watch more closely the work of police officers on Moldova’s borders.

Organizers prepared surprises for the children attending the event. The little visitors had the opportunity to demonstrate their talents in drawing, and everyone was rewarded with ice cream.

The highlight of the event was prepared by the border police cynologists. The guests watched a show featuring Lucky, the star of the border patrol canine team.
