The border crossing point Cosauti-Iampoli, situated on the border with Ukraine, remains closed owing to the ice bridges that formed over the Nistru River, IPN reports, quoting the Border Police.

The point was closed on January 3 and will be reopened when the weather conditions improve and fluvial traffic is unblocked. The Border Police call on the participants in transfrontier traffic that intend to cross the border through this point to choose other checkpoints located nearby.

On the border with Romania, all the border crossing points are functional. Despite the slight increase in traffic, both of persons and of vehicles, the points work according to the usual program and there are no lines. The participants in transfrontier traffic are asked to use all the border crossing points existing on the Moldovan-Romanian border so as not to cause congestion at some of them.
