More than 200 book titles printed at the Cartier publishing house can be bought at half price only today, December 4. The event is staged by the publishing house at all its libraries in Chisinau starting at 9am, on the occasion of the Feast of Saint Nicholas, IPN reports.
According to the organizers, the goal of the event is to make the books wanted by the readers more available. “Today, all he books of Cartier are sold at a 50% discount, while the books issued at other publishing houses, including from Romania, at a 10% discount,” said Gheorghe Erizanu, director of Cartier.
Among the books sold at a discount are classical and modern novels, children’s books and law books. The librarians and editors help the readers find the books these want. The readers will be able to meet some of the authors today.
The event started early, but the first buyers appeared quickly. “I come every time there are special offers, which are provided mainly in March and December. Until now I purchased only novels, encyclopedias and dictionaries, but now I also buy books for children. I think many readers will come. That’s why I came so early so as to buy more books,” said reader Natalia Datsko.
The libraries of Cartier today work until 9pm. The publishing house organizes such events the fourth consecutive year.
