Seventeen broadcasters were warned publicly by the Broadcasting Coordination Council (BCC) for not presenting on time statements on their intention to cover or not to cover the election campaign preceding the November 30 parliamentary elections, IPN reports.
In its October 7 meeting, the BCC approved 80 statements of broadcasters - 35 radio stations and 45 TV channels. All the 80 broadcasters expressed readiness to cover the election campaign.
BCC member Mariana Onceanu-Hadarca said that eight of the 80 broadcasters presented the regulations concerning the method of covering the election campaign incompletely and were given three days to complete it.
