The barriers placed illegally in yards of apartment buildings and on streets and the devices for parking places started again to be removed. Those who set them up are penalized, IPN reports.
The mayor of Chisinau Ion Ceban said persons in charge of the City Hall and the police are dealing with the complaints coming from people. No one has the right to fence, to take control of or to limit the public spaces.
Contacted by e IPN, head of the Public Amenities Division Ion Burdiumov said the areas inside the yards of apartment buildings are public spaces accessible to everyone and the placing of devices to limit a parking place is banned. Moreover, these devices prevent the movement of people with baby carriages or hamper the access of ambulances and firefighting vehicles.
To inform about the illegal setting up of barriers or other devices, the people can go to the district head’s office.
