Ballots for snap parliamentary elections started to be printed

The Central Election Commission in the morning of June 26 started to print the ballots for the snap parliamentary elections of July 11, at the Polygraphic Combine The ballots that will be distributed to polling stations established outside the country are printed the first, IPN reports.

The printing process began in the presence of CEC members, accredited observers and journalists.

A number of 2 794 942 ballots will be printed for the 2,000 polling stations that will be established inside the country and 2 112 244 of them will be in Romanian, while 682 698 in Russian.

The polling stations that will be set up outside the country will be issued with 726 700 ballots, 662 600 of which will be in Romanian.


The ballots are printed on smoky gray matte paper. A ballot is 580 mm in length and 140 mm in width.

CEC president Dorin Cimil said the total cost of the print run is about 634,000 lei. The price of a ballot is 0.18 lei.

A total of 3 521 642 ballots will be printed for the snap parliamentary elections of July 11, 2021.
