The autonomy of the Government in a parliamentary republic is strictly necessary. The start of the Government reform is good, but should be annotated. Such opinions were stated in the program “Fabrika” on Publika TV channel, IPN reports.

Ex-MP and political analyst Valentin Krylov said the autonomy of the Government in the conditions of a parliamentary republic is strictly necessary. Everyone should understand this. “If we speak about a parliamentary republic, the Government should be very powerful and the Prime Minister should be the most responsible person in the Government,” he stated, noting that he is waiting to see what the structure of the executive will be.

Political analyst Corneliu Ciurea in the same program said the Government reform was necessary given the dynamics of politics in the country. The next few months will be a period of adjustment to the new conditions during which particular faults in governance will be witnessed. “I consider these things can be overcome rather swiftly and we will have a new body and new people in the Government, who will have to act in a different way than until now. I think it is important to give this impetus to the central public administration so that it is reorganized and starts work,” stated Corneliu Ciurea.

Economist Sergiu Gaibu said the new law adopted by Parliament on Friday gives the Government the right to do the reform by itself, without the consent of Parliament. But the law envisions practically no responsibility. “The only responsibility that is clearly stipulated is the obligation of the Government to quarterly report on the taken steps,” said Sergiu Gaibu.

Media analyst Cristian Tabara said the start of the Government reform is good, but should be annotated from the very beginning. “This law appeared out of necessity and the fact that it was passed shows that the MPs realized that the government apparatus should be contracted, the work should be optimized and the structure should be adjusted to the governed territory,” stated Cristian Tabara.

The Government reform was adopted by Parliament in the final reading on July 7.
