The public authorities of all levels must combine forces to accelerate the country’s modernization and localities’ development opportunities in light of the strategic objective of European integration, Prime Minister Dorin Recean said during a meeting with mayors from Sângerei district, IPN reports.

The official spoke about the efforts made by the authorities to reform key areas, including with the support of the foreign partners, and to create a safe and predictable business environment for the country’s entrepreneurs and foreign investors. He also referred to the importance of holding the referendum on European integration this autumn.

“The European Union is the best development model for our country. The Republic of Moldova has chosen its path and it is for the first time that the integration into the EU is no longer something abstract. We are doing concrete things – rehabilitating roads, building water supply systems, repairing schools and hospitals and bringing Europe at home, in every village and city,” said Dorin Recean.

In Sângerei district, the Prime Minister paid a visit to Heciul Nou village. He assured that a new building with a modern dance hall will be erected for the children from “Hecenii” ensembl, so that they can continue training in the best conditions. The new building is to be constructed including with the 1.3 million lei that was allocated for the purpose by the Cabinet at its last meeting. “You have done a great thing. Everyone is proud. You are an example of talent, discipline and work for a lot of people in the Republic of Moldova. This is beyond the fact that the whole Romania now knows about Heciul Nou,” the official told them.

Premier Recean also visited Coşcodeni village, namely the local House of Culture that was renovated through the agency of governmental program “European Village Express”. Thanks to investments of over 420,000 lei, the façade was repaired and the approximately 2,500 inhabitants of the region benefit from better conditions at the institution.

In Bursuceni village, the Prime Minister visited the Vilador farm, where the Prisăcari family keeps 250 goats and operates a dairy factory. The agritourist complex includes a guesthouse that will accommodate tourists starting with May. The business was started ten years ago, when the owner of the farm, Viorel Prisăcari, who retired from the military service and returned to his native village. Tourists who will come to the guesthouse will have the opportunity to participate in animal care activities, but also in cheese making workshops.

Dorin Recean also discussed with the owners of the pavements and curbs making business “Movi Pavaje” based in Sângerei. The enterprise that was founded four years ago employs five persons and also seasonal workers, and the products are sold throughout the country. Entrepreneurs Ion and Corina Movila presented pavement models and told about the particularities and evolution of the business. For its initiation, they invested the money earned abroad during ten years. They also raised national funds through the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development and also external funds, including to digitize the activities.
