Austria decided to suspend the flights to and from Moldova as of July 16 until the end of the month, IPN reports.
Moldova’s Embassy in Austria said the foreign citizens, including those from the Republic of Moldova, can enter Austria on condition that they have the right to stay in Austria based on a type D visa issued by Austria or a permit of stay. They can also enter based on the documents needed to ask for the right to stay in accordance with the law on the police for foreigners, law on the regime of foreigners or law on asylum of 2005.
The citizens from third countries who fit the given categories can enter Austria only if they have a medical certificate in German or English issued at most four days ago, which shows that the biological molecular test for COVID-19 is negative. If the medical certificate cannot be presented, these persons can self-isolate for 14 days in an appropriate place. If the persons cannot prove that they have an appropriate location, the access to Austria will be banned.
The Embassy reminds that as of July 8, owing to the global spread of COVID-19, Austria extended the travel advisories for Austrian citizens for a number of countries, including Moldova.
