August trading volume lowest this year

The trading volume on the stock market in August was 435,000 lei, in contract to 4.75 million lei the previous month. This is the lowest volume this year, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communique from the Rating and Evaluation Agency “Estimator-VM”.
The daily average was 32,000 lei, while the operations totaled 49, as against 121 in July. Only 15 of them were interactive transactions, while 27 were performed at outcry auctions.
Twenty-one classes of shares traded on all the segments of the stock exchange in August, as opposed to 34 in July. In August last year, there were traded shares issued by 46 joint stock companies. The stock exchange capitalization assessed according to the methodology of “Estimator-VM” was 13.702 billion lei at end-August. During the last two months, the capitalization fell from over 15 billion lei to under 14 billion lei.
The trading volume on the interactive segment was 203,000 lei, as against about 811,000 lei in July. The shares in BC Moldindconbank SA accounted for 110,000 lei of this sum.
Shares issued by nine companies were traded on the interactive segment overall, in contrast to 16 the previous month. The shares issued by BC Moldindconbank SA participated in the largest number of transactions (3). The largest holding was sold by SA Ialserviceauto (4.33%).
On the outcry auctions segment, the trading volume was about 197,000 lei, as against approximately 918,000 lei in July. Shares in nine companies were traded on this segment, as opposed to 12 a month before. The shareholding in SA Succes (15.27%) was the largest holding sold.
Two public offers to the value of 34,000 lei were recorded on the Moldova Stoic Exchange last month. A buyer of shares in SA Inconarm acquired a holding of 0.12%, while a buyer of shares in SA IM DAAC-Hermes purchased a 0.21% holding.
