Astra Chisinau became national men’s volleyball champion in the first year of its foundation, IPN reports.
The team trained by Artur Romascan, who is the president of the National Volleyball Federation, won 3-0 the fourth match of the final against Dinamo-MAI.
Astra beat 25-18, 31-29, 25-19 the team that won the championship last year. The youngest player of the winning team is 28, while the rest are over 30.
BC Tighina and USM Bostavan will meet in the match for the bronze medal.
