Experts from the Energetic II project, backed up by the World Bank in Moldova, intend to perform an technical and financial auditing of the heat-supplier Termocom, Info-Prim Neo has learnt from the City Hall's press service. Senior officer within the Energetic II project, Doina Visa, and Sandu Ghidirim, an energy expert, during a meeting with general mayor Dorin Chirtoaca, tackled a range of aspects of the problem of supplying the city with centralized heating. Energetic II experts demanded for openness on behalf of the municipal authorities to perform the technical and financial auditing at Termocom. According to the general mayor, the best solution for the time being as to the problems related to the work of SA Termocom is closing the re-organization process and returning the company under the municipal authorities' subordination. Dorin Chirtoaca suggested that, only after these steps done, he would be able to assume all the responsibility for the company, including for the issue of historical debts. He has underlined that a solution would be the Government's renunciation to use Termocom as “a political weapon pointed against the Chisinau authorities”. Speaking on metering the thermal energy, the mayor opined the most adequate method fo now is charging according to the apartment square meters, as installing individual counters is not technically possible. In this regard, the sides discussed on making a research by installing meters at thermal columns in several blocks in different city sectors, to see if the solution is good. The mayor also hinted a contest will be announced soon to select an expert to perform a survey on the general situation in the city's energy sector, and also on the people's power to buy the these energy resources.
