Parliament voted in favor of discharging Communist MP Artur Reshetnikov from the post of Deputy Speaker, Info-Prim Neo reports. The proposal was submitted by the leader of the Liberal-Democratic parliamentary group Valeriu Strelet. The Head of Parliament will consult the lawmakers and will suggest another candidate for the vacancy. The request to dismiss Reshetnikov was made in the February 23 meeting. Valeriu Strelet said then that the Communist lawmaker’s seat was free at a time when he traveled through the city by the Parliament’s car and became involved in protests, behaving like a hooligan. Artur Reshetnikov reacted, saying the Liberal-Democrats aim to free a place in the Parliament’s presidium for Mihai Ghimpu.
