Before the encounter with Zimbru, Zaria Balti signed four players – Moldovans Gheorghi Ovseannicov and Sergey Juric, Ruben Gomez of Argentina and Yevgheny Pisotski of Ukraine, IPN reports.
Gomez’ CV deserves attention. During several seasons, the 31-year-old halfback played in the championship of Ukraine for Zaria, Hoverla and Tavria. He also played in the championships of Cyprus and Greece. His last team was Levadiakos, which ranked 15th the last season in Greece.
Zaria now includes nine foreign players – four from Ukraine, three from the Ivory Coast and by one from Romania and Argentina. The team from Balti takes the seventh position after nine stages played in the National Division.
