Arcadie Barbarosie: PLDM is left by members educated according to democratic principles

Political experts discuss Mihai Godea's defection from the PLDM and formulate possible reasons for such a move, Info-Prim Neo reports. Arcadie Barbarosie, director of the Public Policy Institute, in a program on Publika TV said the last leaders who left the PLDM are representatives of civil society educated according to democratic principles. He also said that Mihai Godea might be claiming the presidency of the PLDM. “Mister Godea may start a harsher discussion inside the PLDM and create a platform to modify the decision-making process. This would be a struggle of ideas inside the party and not only,” said Barbarosie. “I assumed that something was wrong inside the PLDM. It experiences the same problems that many political parties faced over time. I mean absence of democracy inside the party. We will have more surprises, possibly from other parties as well,” political analyst Valentin Dolganiuc said in the same program. The experts also presumed that Mihai Godea left the party because of the alleged agreement between the PLDM and PCRM, under which Victor Bodiu will withdraw from the race and throw support to Igor Dodon. They also predicted that this might be a move planned by Vlad Filat and Godea could soon return to the PLDM.
