The citizens as from November 1 until November 25 can file applications to get compensatory payments for energy by registering on the platform compensatii.gov.md. The compensatory payments will be provided through the heat, gas and electricity bills and in the form of monthly payments of 800 lei. Only those who will register in the system will benefit from compensation. Details were presented in a news conference on Wednesday, IPN reports.
“This year, we will have two types of subsidies – the compensatory payment through bills, as last year, and the monetary compensation, the so-called APRA (cold-month allowance), which this year rose to 800 lei. This will be paid during five months, primarily to households that use a solid source of energy in heating, either wood or coal,” said Minister of Labor and Social Protection Alexei Buzu.
According to the official, the registration form consists of 20 spaces. To be able to register, the applicants need the IDs, including of the family members, and bills. “Each citizen will insert the name, surname, mobile phone or landline number, and the income for the last six months. This year we simplified the process so as to encourage the citizens to declare the incomes for each month: May, June, July, August, September, and October. It is very important for all the members of the household to declare the income earned the last six months. If there are students in the household, this thing should be indicated,” stated Alexei Buzu.
The minister noted that particular spaces will be pre-filled, but the applicant should anyway register in the system as particular changes could have occurred meanwhile, in the historical consumption, in incomes or in the number of household members.
The incorrect writing of the number of the consumption place was the most often mistake made by the citizens last year. The applicants should be attentive and introduce the exact data from bills and should indicate the real incomes as the state this year will have connections with nine databases of the public system through which the accuracy of the data indicated by the citizens will be determined.
To benefit from compensatory payments for November, the citizens should register between November 1 and November 25. After November 25, all those who registered will be informed if they are entitled to the monetary compensation and to what energy vulnerability category they were added. If the persons register in the system after November 25, the compensation will be provided for December already.
