As of October 15, the families from Chisinau municipality that have monthly incomes lower than 3,000 lei per person a month can apply for cold-month allowances and allowances for other public utilities. An order to this effect, signed by acting mayor Nistor Grozavu, was published on the website of the Chisinau City Hall, IPN reports.
Under the order, the socially deprived people from Chisinau municipality can file applications to get allowances that compensate for the difference resulting from the rise in the solid household waste collection tariff and for paying for the volume of water that was calculated additionally in the 2017-2018 heating season.
Those who earlier received such allowances should submit applications to confirm that the financial situation is difficult. The applications in the city can be filed to housing sector managing companies, while in the suburban communities to the local mayor’s offices.
