A number of categories of citizens must contact the social worker to submit applications for compensation for energy resources. These are consumers who use solid fuels and those who are not connected to the power supply or who cannot provide an IDNP code. The clarifications were made by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection after applicants for compensation were referred to the social worker when they tried to register online on compensatii.gov.md.
Contacted by IPN for details, the main consultant of the Ministry’s Information and Media Communication Service Diana Blănaru said that the applicants, who use solid fuels as the main source of heating and did not benefit from aid for the 2022-2023 winter season must contact the social worker to submit the application for compensation. Those who did not receive compensation for energy in the form of a monetary payment in the 2023-2024 season should also do so.
According to the consultant, applicants who are not connected to the power supply, applicants who use a common meter for several households, as well as applicants who cannot communicate an IDNP code (have identity documents that do not have IDNPs assigned) must also file an application with the assistance of the social worker.
In order to receive compensation for November, those interested must register on compensatii.gov.md by November 28. During the winter season (November-March), applications can be submitted at any time, but compensation will not be granted for the previous months. If the application was submitted after the 28th date of the month, the compensations will be provided starting with the following month.
According to the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, almost 158,000 applications for energy compensation have been submitted for the current winter season so far. More than 60,000 of these were completed with the help of registrars.
