The Public Property Agency (APP) has initiated the procedures to replace Sergiu Tofilat on the Moldovagaz Board of Observers. The information was confirmed for IPN by APP communicator Ghenadie Vasilache.
"The process will last. It will be conducted in accordance with the legislation in force", Vasilache said.
Prime Minister Dorin Recean has called for the dismissal of Sergiu Tofilat from Moldovagaz's Board of Observers, arguing that he "blocked the purchase of gas at favorable prices". Sergiu Tofilat was surprised by the Premier's statements, replying that "he does not have such competences" and that he will continue to investigate the company's activity.
Sergiu Tofilat was appointed as a member of Moldovagaz's Board of Observers on behalf of civil society in July 2023.
