A group of administrators of apartment blocs of the district Ciocana met with prime minister Vasile Tarlev, requiring government involvement in solving the problems they deal with – lifts that do not work because of electric power lack, small tariffs for bloc services providing, blocked accounts and the need to conclude direct contracts between the suppliers and final consumers. The head of the district Ciocana, Ion Gabura said that now, two thirds of those 67 Associations of apartment owners of this district were sued in court by Union Fenosa or S. A. „Termocom”. Their accounts are blocked. The deputy chairman of the Owners Association 54/203, Natalia Birzoi mentioned that because of financial blocking, the blocs cannot be managed at appropriate level and cannot be paid salaries of sweepers. According to the head of the district, about 40 % of basements of apartment blocs are in water, as the associations, because of money lack, cannot repair engineering lines. The inhabitants cannot take the incommodities created „artificially”, as the current payments are a high level, and they very hard pay historical debts, Gabura said. Prime Minister Tarlev mentioned that solving administrators’ problems regards more local public administration, but the government also is interested in solving them. He proposed to create a working group of the representatives of mayoralty of Chisinau, of the National Agency for Energy Regulation, of the administration of Ciocana and representatives of the Owners’ Associations. Within 10 days it shall be drafted an action plan to get over the created situation – to stop the switching off process of lifts, to set clear play conditions between the suppliers and consumers, the prime minister mentioned. Capital mayoralty announced this week that he would require to general prosecution and the Centre for Fighting Economic Offences and Corruption to check the financial activity of these associations of the district Ciocana, who manage the blocs where the lifts do not work.
