A drone was discovered outside the village of Cosernita, according to the General Police Inspectorate. Access to the area where it fell has been restricted, and specialists are set to examine the drone, IPN reports.
The Criuleni Police were alerted to the drone’s discovery. Specialized services were immediately dispatched to the site, and the IGP’s technical-explosive section from the Technical-Criminalistics and Judicial Expertise Center will conduct a thorough investigation of the aircraft.
Two days ago, two other drones, similar to the one found near Coșernița, were discovered in Moldova. One was found near the village of Firladeni in Căușeni district, and the other near the village of Borosenii Noi in Riscani district.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs indicated that there is clear evidence showing that the drones were launched by the Russian Federation. According to the MFA, the violation of Moldova’s airspace is a serious breach and an unfriendly act by Russia.
In response, the MFA handed a note of protest to Oleg Ozerov, the accredited ambassador of the Russian Federation to Moldova, regarding the "violation of the Republic of Moldova’s airspace."
