Andrian Candu was nominated as a candidate for President of the Republic of Moldova at the November 1 presidential elections. The decision was taken by the Pro Moldova Party’s National Political Council and was announced in a news conference, IPN reports.
“I’m honored to have been entrusted with such a task and mission that implies great responsibility. We, those from Pro Moldova, understand how important this exercise is for the country and for the citizens of the Republic of Moldova. We will conduct first of all a correct campaign, but also an information campaign to inform the citizens of the Republic of Moldova what these presidential elections represent,” said the party’s president Andrian Candu.
Andrian Candu was the vice president of the Democratic Party of Moldova in 2012-2019, deputy prime minister and minister of economy in 2014-2015, Speaker of Moldova’s Parliament in 2015-2019 and since February 20 this year has been a member of the parliamentary group Pro Moldova and the president of the party with the same name.
