The Pro Moldova Party counts on the support of the Democratic Party of Moldova (PDM) in the November 1 presidential elections. Such an announcement was made by the party’s leader and candidate for President Andrian Candu, IPN reports.

“I bank on all the teams of the Democratic Party. I bank on the teams from Chisinau, Leova and Cahul. These are former mates and I continue to have respectful or friendship relations with some of them,” Andrian Candu stated in the talk show “Secrets of the Power” on Jurnal TV channel.

The leader of Pro Moldova admits that the competition for office of President will not be easy, but hopes he will win an honorable place in the elections.

“We didn’t enter the competition only in order to win. Surely, any athlete involved in a competition dreams of the gold medal. I hope for an honorable score, but the percentage counts less,” stated Andrian Candu.

He noted the upcoming elections are also an exercise for testing the new party and its members. “The collection of signatures was the first test for us. In the process of collecting signatures, we saw where we have good teams, where we do not have such teams and where we must make effort in the immediate period to improve them so that they meet the expectations.”

The former Democratic heavyweight said a struggle against the current regime in Chisinau started at the beginning of this year and this will continue, including in the campaign prior to the presidential elections.
