By the letter addressed to the two political parties that formed the bloc ACUM DA PAS, by which the two are invited to talks, the Democratic Party is trying to mimic the process of forming an alliance, the leader of the Party “Dignity and Truth Platform” Andrei Năstase, co-president of ACUM DA PAS, was quoted by IPN as saying in a program on ProTV channel.

“From that letter, I deduced the hurry in which the Democrats try to mimic the process of forming an alliance, knowing very well that the bloc ACUM will never form an alliance with the thieves, the ruling mafia, those who degraded the country and the people,” stated the politician.

According to him, the people voted exactly what the bloc ACUM means and what its members do. “Our electors voted  an electoral program of the bloc ACUM DA PAS and our commitments and promises that were made transparently. One of our main formalized commitments that was presented on February 21, 2019 was not to form an alliance with the party of Plahotniuc, the party of Dodon, the party of Shor, the party of Usatyi – all the oligarchic and anti-European parties,” said Andrei Năstase.

He noted he didn’t respond to the Democratic Party, but only answered journalists’ questions on the issue. The letter was signed by the leader of the PDM Vladimir Plahotniuc.

As to the recently disseminated reports that the bloc ACUM could separate into two in the next Parliament, Andrei Năstase said the bloc is and will remain united. It is yet premature to speak about the forms of participation in the legislature. “We will analyze the public, people’s interests. If particular formulas are for our benefit, for the benefit of the people who voted for us, we will use these formulas. What is definite is that the bloc ACUM remains united and will act in a united way in Parliament,” he stated.

The Democratic Party on March 1 informed that it wrote separately to the DA and PAS, the parties forming the electoral bloc NOW, inviting them to negotiate a potential coalition so as to ensure efficient governance in accordance with people’s expectations.
