Andrei Năstase, an independent candidate for President, said that he voted today for a country where there is order, justice and wellbeing, adding that he voted for a capable, courageous, competent President who will fight corruption and poverty, will protect families, IPN reports.
The candidate came to the polling station together with his wife and their daughter. “I voted, first of all, for a better future for our country, I voted for Moldova, for its people,” stated Andrei Năstase.
He also said that he voted for a President who would put an end to the nonsense, would stop those who govern the country from increasing the country’s indebtedness. He also voted for a President capable of ensuring calmness and peace, harmonious relations between all people and with all countries.
Political campaigning on election day is strictly forbidden. It is not allowed to carry out or cover electoral activities. Election contenders cannot appear in television or radio shows.
Polling stations are open until 09:00 p.m.
