The negotiation conditions presented by the Party of Socialists this Friday are intended not for the political bloc ACUM, but for the Democratic Party. The fact that they now also claim the Ministry of the Interior points to the escalation of Socialists’ conditions, political pundit Anatol Țăranu was quoted by IPN as saying in the program “Fabrika” on Publika TV channel.

“They pave the way for the future discussion with the PDM. I’m almost sure that this discussion will take place,” stated Anatol Țăranu. According to him, the Socialists made their position clear and can now negotiate anything and can even go towards snap elections as their voters received a very clear message as to the interest of the national minorities. Furthermore, the PSRM made public all the conditions for promoting Russia’s interests in Moldova.

As regards the bloc ACUM, the analyst said this looks like a lemon that is fully squeezed by the Socialists. “ACUM appears as a force that is categorically against oligarchy. As the bloc came into contract with the Socialists to discuss the program for de-oligarchizing the country, they a priori recognized the Party of Socialists as a non-oligarchic party. It was hard to imagine another greater present for the Socialists than this,” stated Anatol Țăranu.

Political pundit Corneliu Ciurea said the real intentions of the Socialists when they put forward conditions are known. What the PSRM presents is not what it really intends to do. By the assertion that they either form a coalition with the bloc ACUM or want snap elections, the Party of Socialists  excludes the return to and the initiation of a dialogue with the PDM. “What is the stake of these negotiations with the bloc ACUM? It’s clear that the Socialists cannot come to terms with ACUM. Such an alliance is practically impossible for both of the sides. It seems to me that in such conditions the Socialists do not want to form an alliance with ACUM. It happened so because the bloc was more aggressive towards the PSRM,” stated the pundit.

Corneliu Ciurea noted the behavior of President Igor Dodon and the leaders of the PSRM, who insist on a relationship with the bloc ACUM, but simultaneously say they haven’t yet discussed with the Democrats and suggest that they could discuss is absurd.
