The Moldovan-Ukrainian relations see an upward trend. Never since the declaration of their independence, had the two states better and more fruitful relations than at present, political analyst Anatol Taranu stated in the talk show “Fabrika” on Publika TV channel, IPN reports.

According to him, for the Republic of Moldova, the current state of affairs in Ukraine, with the policies that are now formulated in Kyiv, even if they are sometimes contradictory, represents the best one given that the neighboring state earlier had a dual attitude to Moldova.

At the same time, politologist Ruslan Shevchenko said the Ukrainian politicians’ attitude to the President of the Republic of Moldova is negative. “In such conditions, the coming of the Party of Socialists to power could mean the blocking or ending of a number of Moldovan-Ukrainian projects. This would not happen only if President Igor Dodon realizes that he should change his pro-Russia attitude to Ukraine,” he stated.
