Anatol Ciricu wins bronze in clean and jerk

Moldovan weightlifter Anatol Ciricu missed the chance to become European champion, as he did in April 2012. At the European Weightlifting Championship in Tbilisi, the athlete from Cahul, who medaled at the London Olympics, ranked fifth in the 94 kg class. The title of champion went to a Lithuanian weightlifter, IPN reports.

Anatol Ciricu won yet bronze in clean and jerk.

So far, Oleg Sirghi (56 kg class) became champion in Tbilisi, while Alexandru Dudoglo (85 kg class) – vice champion. The last Moldovan athlete, Andrian Zbirnea, enters the competition today, April 18.
