Anastasia Nikita for the first time became world wrestling champion among juniors. Trained by Tudor Cîrlan, Anastasia won five victories at the World Junior Wrestling Championships in Slovakia, IPN reports.
Before reaching the final, she easily beat Debora Lawnitzak of Germany, Tetiana Rizhko of Ukraine, China’s Xiuyun Chen and Kazakhstan’s Yekaterina Firstova. In the final, she defeated Sae Nanjo of Japan 5-4.
This year, Anastasia Nikita also won gold at the European Junior Wrestling Championships in Rome.
