Anastasia Nikita wins gold at Individual World Cup

Wrestler Anastasia Nikita has won a gold medal at the Individual World Cup held in Belgrade. The 21-year-old athlete scored three victories in the 57 kg weight class, against Italy’s Arianna Carieri, Turkey’s Mehlika Ozturk and India’s Anshu, IPN reports.

Anastasia Nikita until now has won 16 medals, seven of which are gold ones. She also won gold at the Under 23 European Wrestling Championships, World Championships and European Seniors Championship.

In the small final of the World Cup, Moldova’s Mariana Cherdivară Eșanu (59 kg) and Irina Rîngaci (65 kg) were beaten by Russia’s Svetlana Lipatova and, respectively, Ukraine’s Tetiana Rijko.
