Moldovan wrestler Anastasia Nichita dramatically won the title of European seniors champion at the competition in Rome. In the final of the 59 kg weight class, Tudor Cîrlan’s pupil beat Bilyana Dudova of Bulgaria 5-4 after being led 2-4 up to the last seconds, IPN reports.

Earlier, the athlete who turns 21 on February 19 won against Hungary’s Ramona Galambos, Ukraine’s Anhelina Lysak and Laura Mertens of Germany.

Wrestlers Emilia Cîrîcu Budeanu (50 kg) and Mariana Drăguțan (55 kg) finished fifth. Mariana Cherdivară Eșanu (62 kg) competes in the playoffs against Spain’s Lydia Perez Tourino on February 14.
