Moldovan wrestler Anastasia Nikita has won a gold medal at the European Wrestling Championships in Zagreb, IPN reports.

Tudor Cîrlan’s pupil scored three victories in the 59 kg weight class – against Norway’s Othelie Hoeie, Turkey’s Eda Tekin and Yuliia Tkach of Ukraine. The final fight against Tkach didn’t take place as the world champion of 2014 withdrew due to injury.

In the evening of April 21, Irina Rîngaci will compete in the 65 kg weight class against Bulgarian wrestler Mimi Hristova.
