Taekwondo fighter Ana Ciuchitu won the bronze medal in the 67 kg category at the World Universiade, which takes place in Naples, reports IPN.
The 19-year-old defeated Kazakhstan’s Axaule Erkassimova and France’s Cheyenne Marie Lewis, before losing to China’s Yunyun Shan in the semifinals.
This is the third medal won by Moldovan athletes at the World Universiade, with the first two being Denis Vieru’s gold and Dorin Goţonoaga’s bronze gained in judo.
