Alleged pro-Europeans and open servants of Russia, among “well-wishers” of Mioritic land

The messages formulated by the director of the Security and Intelligence Service Alexandru Musteață at yesterday’s press conference, where he spoke about the Russian Federation’s instruments in our country assigned to thwart the European integration of the Republic of Moldova, generated reactions in society and among  security specialists,  IPN reports.

In particular, Andrei Curăraru, WatchDog expert, posted on Youtube a video in which he outlined the profile of the promoters of policies to interfere in the internal affairs of the Republic of Moldova. According to the specialist, there are “open pro-Russian politicians” on the domestic political arena: they are vocal in supporting the relationship with Russia and have direct and confirmed links with various Russian entities, including intelligence services, political consultants, organized criminal groups and the Kremlin leadership. These politicians are open in showing their support for Russia.”

At the same time, there are politicians who are in the garb of equidistance. They “insist on neutrality, but serve Russia’s interests: this category includes politicians who hide their true affiliation and support for Russia, declaring that they defend the national interests, neutrality and statehood. However, behind this appearance, their real purpose is to serve the Russian Federation. They usually have contacts with exponents of the Russian Federation in a camouflaged form.”

To the Kremlin’s detachments, the expert adds the group of politicians connected with organized criminal groups: they are involved in hybrid actions directed against Chisinau. They “are led by a citizen of the Republic of Moldova who is wanted internationally. These politicians are part of a larger scenario orchestrated by the Russian Federation to destabilize the Republic of Moldova and are linked to organized criminal groups.”

No less dangerous is the fourth category, of the allegedly pro-European political forces that explore the niche of apparently technical concerns - local administration, management of socioeconomic or cultural topics - the so-called “sleepers” who are to enter the scene at the decisive moment for the country’s European path, says the expert.
