All pensions and other social benefits were paid on time in March, reported the National Social Security Company (CNAS), which transferred a total of 1,624,496,700 lei for this purpose.
From January 1, pensions which were previously under the Q1/2018 minimum subsistence amount of 1,589 lei got increased by 10%. A total of 453,000 pensioners got the raise.
The one-off newborn payment increased from 5,645 to 6,303 lei, and the monthly childcare benefit for the uninsured increased from 540 to 640 lei. The monthly benefit for caring for twins or multiples increased by 50 lei.
CNAS reported that the pension also increased for 2,817 who retired before 1 January 1999 and worked after retirement for 15 years or longer.
Beneficiaries of pensions and other social benefits may collect their payouts at postal offices until the date of 23 of every month or wait until next month.
