All 11 aspirants for mayor of Ungheni registered

Eleven candidates will contend for the post of mayor of Ungheni town on November 5. Ten of them were fielded by political parties, while one candidate will run as an independent. Contacted by IPN for details, Vasile Țurcanu, head of the Ungheni District Electoral Council, said that all the persons who applied to be registered as contenders in the Ungheni mayoral election were registered and can start campaigning.

The 11 candidates are:
- Lidia Sanduleac, Liberal Democratic Party;
- Gheorghe Petic, Party “Dignity and Truth Platform”;
- Dionisie Ternovschi, Party of Action and Solidarity;
- Nicolae Gaviuc, Party of Communists;
- Eduard Balan, Coalition for Unity and Wellbeing;
- Gennady Mitriuc, Party of Socialists;
- Vasile Lupu, Party of Development and Consolidation of Moldova;
- Ion Țițu, European Social Democratic Party;
- Mihaela Bargan, Chance Party;
- Nicolae Matrosu, Respect Moldova Movement;
- Vitalie Vrabie, independent candidate.

The election campaign for all the registered candidates began on October 6.
