Alina Stremous becomes European vice-champion

Biathlete Alina Stremous won a silver medal at the Biathlon European Championships in Slovakia, in the 15 km race, IPN reports.

The 28-year-old athlete attained the result of 42 minutes and 12 seconds and finished 46 seconds later than Maren Kirkeeide of Norway. She climbed on to the winner’s rostrum at the European Championships for the third time. Two years ago, she became champion and vice-champion.

In the men’s individual event, Moldova was represented by five biathletes. Maxim Makarov achieved the best result, ranking 19th.
