Moldovan coach Alexandru Spiridon has won one more title of champion of Ukraine with Shahtar Donetsk. On April 28, the ‘miners’ drew 1-1 with one of its main opponents, Metalist Harkov, IPN reports.

With four stages to be played before the end of the championship, Shahtar is 15 points ahead of Dinamo Kiev and Metalist and cannot be surpassed.

Recently, Alexandru Spiridon extended his contract with the Ukrainian team for another two years. He will continue to work as assistant of the Romanian coach Mircea Lucescu there.

Spiridon started to work for Shahtar in 2004. Since then, he won 16 trophies with this team, including seven titles of champion of Ukraine, five Cups, and three Super Cups as well as one UEFA Cup.

Alexandru Spiridon, 52, is the first Moldovan coach who got the Pro category UEFA license that enables to train any club in Europe.
