The leader of the parliamentary group of the Party “Dignity and Truth Platform” Alexandru Slusari said that what is going on is mimicking of consultations as the decision was taken long ago. After the discussions, the MP said a sincere dialogue wasn’t wanted either at the first consultations or at today’s consultations, IPN reports.

Alexandru Slusari said President Maia Sandu didn’t tell them something concrete, but confirmed that an election campaign cannot be started before the population is vaccinated massively. They haven’t received a concrete response about an eventual date of the snap parliamentary elections.

According to the MP, the decision to go to the Constitutional Court has been already taken and the consultations were simulated.

The MP also said that the decisions are taken depending on the political context and conjuncture, but the country and the people suffer as a result. That political Ping-Pong will continue as Maia Sandu and Igor Dodon think about the own interests only.

A quorum at the March 25 sitting of Parliament was not present and the government program and the Cabinet proposed by candidate for Prime Minister Igor Grosu could not be considered. This was the second attempt to vote in a Government with full powers, after the first attempt of February 11 also failed.

President Maia Sandu invited the parliamentary groups to consultations in accordance with Article 85, par. (1) of the Constitution, which provides that if the Government cannot be formed or the procedure for adopting laws is blocked during three months, the President of the Republic of Moldova, after consultations with the parliamentary groups, can dissolve Parliament.
