Citizens should know that what happened between November 7-27, 2014 at the three banks involved in the banking fraud was a crime against the people of the Republic of Moldova. The statement belongs to MP Alexandru Slusari, theCchairman of the Banking Fraud Investigation Commission, IPN reports.

"In three weeks, after it had been established that these three banks were in critical condition, from BEM, the Social Bank and Unibank over 25 billion lei in the form of loans were stolen," said Alexandru Slusari, who specified that the credits were given to companies belonging to Șor group.

According to Alexandru Slusari, on November 7, 2014, Dorin Dragutanu said at the meeting of the National Commission for Financial Stability that the three banks lacked liquidity and that state guarantees must be granted quickly. "Drăguțanu' s standpoint was also supported by Leancă Government," said Alexandru Slusari.

The Chairman of the Commission said that the persons who admitted to release over 25 billion from the three banks between November 7-27, 2014 were criminals. "The first criminal is Dorin Drăguțanu, because the NBM, according to the transfer credit procedures, receives daily information about how much money is released by each bank," said Alexandru Slusari.

He specified that Dorin Dragutanu should have known what was going on and should have been the first to request the introduction of special administration for the three banks. "Dorin Dragutanu came up with this proposal after Plahotniuc said that it was necessary to grant state guarantees to the three banks at the beginning of November," mentioned the Chairman of the Commission.

According to Alexandru Slusari, neither Anatol Arapu, then Minister of Finance, nor Prime Minister Iurie Leancă asked questions about the real situation of these banks, although it was clear that they were in a critical situation.

"I have the official information from the NBM, with figures, and I hope that the Prosecutor's Office will also check into this report.
