Former international Alexandru Pashchenko has signed a two-year contract with Zimbru, which is trained by Oleg Kubarev, IPN reports.

The 25-year-old halfback the last time played for Ararat Yerevan, but he didn’t impress in Armenia. In 2012, Pashchenko was named the best halfback in Moldova, when playing for Sheriff. In his career, he also played for Tiligul, Dinamo, FC Tiraspol, and Rapid.

Instead, Zimbru parted with five players: Fernando Quintela and Xavier Ademar of Brazil, Russian player Serghei Tsyganov, Nikola Kovacivic of Serbia, and striker Radu Ginsari, who is holding negotiations with Sheriff. Ademar didn’t leave Moldova’s championship as he signed for FC Tiraspol.

Zimbru, which is the holder of Moldova’s Cup, already started to prepare for the new season and scheduled two friendlies: against Milsami on June 18, and against Veris on June 21.
